CityRail Driver Identification Guide
(Light-Hearted Humour!)

Maintained by Craig Dewick - Updated November 2009

Have you ever wondered which depot a particular CityRail driver may belong to? 8-) If you have, or you are a CityRail driver who is identity-challenged (!), this identification guide may be of help...

The Depots

As you know, railway operations from a train crewing perspective are set up so that wherever a lot of trains start their journeys, or at places where there are major junctions or yards, there will usually be a crew depot established there (but not always).

Each depot, especially within the ETR (Electric Train Running) section of CityRail, is located in an area which has a unique identifiable local culture depending on the geographic location and/or the type of people which live in that area.

The following drawings were prepared by a CityRail driver who shall remain nameless (!), but the tongue-in-cheek way they are drawn is just so good I felt they deserved wider recognition.
