


The Hiteker DVD players which have been
sold here in Australia are actually the same as those bearing the Apex Digital brand name and sold in
the US and Canada.The units were manufactured by a Chinese company. The core of the players is an ATAPI-compatible CD transport with a seperate PCB containing the microprocessor-controlled video and audio decoding electronics. Another PCB handles the front panel controls and the display, with yet another board holding the video and audio output connectors and related passive components. The output board has provision for a TOS-link style optical audio output but this isn't fitted in the standard AD600A model which has been available here. Key features of this model include:
